Mark S. Anschutz

The Rev. Dr. Mark S. Anschutz is a third-generation Episcopal priest and a native of Washington, D.C. His long career in the Episcopal Church included four times as a deputy to General Convention and has pastored churches in Worcester, Mass. (St. Luke’s); Alexandria, Va. (Christ Church);  New York City (St. James’ Madison Avenue), and Dallas (St. Michael and All Angels).

Mark has served as a trustee and visitor to a number of church-related schools and seminaries and has been deeply involved in several initiatives to aid the Episcopal Church in raising up young and gifted persons for ordained ministry and in ministry to those suffering from addiction. He has been deeply involved in The Society of Saint John the Evangelist and the Friends of Bass River in Massachusetts. Currently, he coaches a number of clergy scattered across the country and serves as the Priest In Charge at Saint Andrew’s By The Sea in Hyannis Port, Mass.

Mark holds degrees from Drury College, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, The Andover-Newton Theological Seminary, and an honorary doctorate from the University of the South.
