Alastair green

Alastair Green is a Senior Partner in the Washington office of McKinsey & Company, where he leads the firm’s global Infrastructure practice. He advises the world’s leading infrastructure investors, technology companies, and public institutions on their most complex infrastructure challenges – ranging from green energy generation, to transit systems, to lower-cost healthcare and housing. 

Al is passionate about combining private capital, technological innovation and infrastructure development to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. He has pursued that passion through research efforts and work experience across sub-Saharan Africa. He previously lived in East Africa where he supported two Uganda-focused projects during his time with the International Finance Corporation and Acumen Fund.

Al graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and received an M.Phil in economics from the University of Cambridge and a JD from Harvard University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and three young children.
